Located next to the world natural heritage Ha Long Bay, Bai Tu Long Bay is
located in Cam Pha City and Van Don District (Quang Ninh) and partly in Ha Long
City. The bay has more than 600 large and small islands, of which Bai Tu Long
National Park stands out, with 3 main island clusters: Ba Mun, Tra Ngo and Sau.
Unlike Ha Long, Bai Tu Long Bay not only has islands of various shapes and
sizes, but also has many large and small inhabited islands and mountains, which
are fences for the entire majestic sea.
Therefore, when coming to Bai Tu Long, visitors can learn about the lives of
islanders, with fishing villages, aquaculture, and interesting experiences as a
fisherman.
In addition to the values bestowed by nature, Bai Tu Long Bay is also
associated with the history of the Vietnamese people, with the famous Van Don
commercial port relic and many historical relics such as: Tinh Hai fort; Mac
Dynasty citadel (on Ngoc Vung island), Quan Lan communal house (Quan Lan island
commune, Van Don district); 100-room pagoda (Thang Loi island commune, Van Don
district)... Today, the relics and festivals associated with the above relics
are attractive destinations, attracting a large number of tourists to visit and
learn.
