“Heritage Journey” aims to connect Ha Long and Bai Tu Long bays. This is also the first tourism product connecting two famous bays of Quang Ninh province, contributing to expanding the local sea and island tourism space, reducing the load on the core heritage area of ​​Ha Long Bay.

On February 7, 2024, the People's Committee of Quang Ninh province issued a plan on developing tourism products in Quang Ninh province in 2024. It requires focusing on developing new, diverse, unique and highly competitive tourism products, especially high-end resort tourism products associated with promoting the values ​​of nature, people, culture of Quang Ninh, the World Heritage - Natural Wonder of Ha Long Bay, Bai Tu Long Bay and outstanding tourism resources of the province. The focus is on expanding tourism space in the areas of Bai Tu Long Bay, Van Don, Co To and some islands in the province. Quang Ninh province's viewpoint in developing new tourism products is to focus on developing diverse and unique products, especially high-end resort tourism products associated with increasing the ability to reach a variety of tourist streams, building the destination brand "Wonder of 4 seasons".

According to the plan, in 2024, Quang Ninh will launch 62 new products to serve tourists. Of which, 11 products exploit the advantages of Ha Long Bay and Bai Tu Long Bay. Typical examples include a day as a fisherman in Vung Vieng fishing village, traditional dragon boat racing on Ha Long Bay, relaxing in the sea and organizing beach services on natural sand beaches, restaurant cruise combined with wedding on Ha Long Bay... In particular, the tourism products for sightseeing and accommodation connecting Ha Long Bay - Bai Tu Long Bay have received much attention from tourism businesses, people and tourists.

Most recently, at the end of May 2024, Quang Ninh launched the "Heritage Journey" cruise and cruise connecting Ha Long and Bai Tu Long bays. This is also the first tourism product connecting the two famous bays of Quang Ninh province, contributing to expanding the local sea and island tourism space, reducing the burden on the core heritage area of ​​Ha Long Bay. At the same time, awakening the potential and promoting the value of Bai Tu Long Bay.

The Ha Long Bay Management Board has proposed 10 tourism products and services, and the Quang Ninh Department of Tourism has also proposed 2 new tours and tours on Ha Long Bay, 6 new tours connecting Ha Long Bay - Bai Tu Long Bay and Bai Tu Long Bay alone. The Department has also proposed 6 guided tours and tours in Van Don District and Bai Tu Long National Park.

In order for these products to come into operation soon, the People's Committee of Quang Ninh province has assigned the Department of Tourism to preside over and coordinate with the Ha Long Bay Management Board, the Department of Transport, the People's Committee of Cam Pha City, the People's Committee of Van Don District, and the Management Board of Bai Tu Long National Park to advise the Provincial People's Committee to announce the itinerary for sightseeing and tourism in Ha Long Bay, Bai Tu Long Bay and the connecting itineraries between Ha Long Bay and Bai Tu Long Bay to develop tourism products, expand tourism space, attract investment, etc.

By developing tourism products in Ha Long Bay - Bai Tu Long Bay, Quang Ninh hopes to exploit the maximum advantages of landscape and culture, promote the value of heritage, thereby continuing to create a special attraction for domestic and foreign tourists.
