The People's Committee of Quang Ninh province cut the ribbon to inaugurate the coastal road connecting Ha Long city to Cam Pha city.

The Ha Long - Cam Pha coastal road runs along the coast of Ha Long Bay - Bai Tu Long, with a width of 6 lanes. In phase 1 of the project, Quang Ninh province completed 4 lanes and put it into operation from the beginning of 2022, and is considered by people and tourists to be a beautiful and modern coastal tourist route.

To ensure synchronization with Tran Quoc Nghien route of Ha Long city, meet the increasing demand for vehicles, and also to complete the entire route according to the 6-lane planning, Quang Ninh province has decided to invest in completing the synchronous infrastructure and landscape of this coastal road, assigned to Ha Long city and Cam Pha city to implement.

The road is 18.7km long, with 2 additional outer lanes, additional items to complete the traffic safety system , regional traffic connections, and lighting. In addition to 6 lanes, this coastal road also has 5m wide sidewalks on each side, a drainage system along the route; additional trees planted with date palms, purple bauhinia, bougainvillea, etc.

Inaugurated after 8 months of construction, this phase 2 project has a total investment of nearly 850 billion VND, capital from the local budget, including 8.1km through Ha Long city and 10.6km through Cam Pha city, now officially put into use. 18.7km has just been expanded and completed to create a synchronous landscape axis with 6 lanes, more than 30km long, from Bai Chay bridge, Ha Long city, to the center of Cam Pha city.

On both sides of the Ha Long - Cam Pha coastal road are rocky mountains, mangrove forests, sea and modern urban areas , passing through many beautiful architectural works of Quang Ninh such as the Museum, Planning Palace, Fair and Exhibition...

The route also connects two heritage sites, Ha Long Bay - a world natural heritage and Bai Tu Long Bay - an ASEAN heritage, creating a breakthrough in socio-economic development space, especially tourism, of the two central cities of the province, Ha Long and Cam Pha.

The route not only contributes to reducing traffic on National Highway 18, but is also a unique and distinctive tourism product of Quang Ninh province, associated with the conservation of the natural heritage of Ha Long Bay, Bai Tu Long Bay, the mangrove forest system, and unique limestone mountains.

With such characteristics, Quang Ninh province is confident that the Ha Long - Cam Pha coastal road is the most beautiful route in Vietnam.
