We have returned home safe and sound after our wonderful time in Vietnam. Your tour was excellent! We really enjoyed the home stay and the motorcycle tour in Quan Lan island. Bai Tu Long is a beautiful bay area but too full of tourists and the beach dirty such liquor bottles and plastic bags to really enjoy fully. We were happy with our trip as we spent two days cruising through the beautiful scenery. However, as I said the scenery was beautiful and the boat we were on appeared to be as nice as any other in the area and a good size with only about 14 people on our particular cruise. All of the guides and drivers were very good and knowledgeable on their area.
The hotels on the tour were good, however your company could offer a second alternative at a bit higher price and upgrade the hotels a bit without getting into western hotel chains. We did appreciate the fact that your hotel choices gave a person a sense of real Vietnam instead of a westernized version. Sorry I can't think of a good example at the moment.
You in particular provided such excellent service in keeping us informed of pick up times etc and making the change from the train to plane on the last leg of the tour.
We have wonderful pictures and memories of Vietnam and do hope to return one day. We would certainly recommend Vietnam and your company for the tour. We wish you all the best and thanks again for a wonderful time - Morten Clausen (Copenhagen, Denmark)

Dear Loan! First of all we were very happy with the tour you put together for us. We think we saw the highlights of the Vietnam and everything especially the gift our guide gave us the next day was very much appreciated and went flawlessly.
As to things that could be done better...
- The Halong cruises were very comfortable. The negatives were the food of which there was a lot but it was mainly "westernised" Vietnamise food which was not very good.
- The hotel in Cat Ba island was comfortable but a bit too far out of town. It was too far to walk and not far enough to make it interesting to taxi drivers.
- The guide in Hanoi also rang ahead to inform our guide in Halong bay that I was weak and not able to do much walking. Bich was a delightful guide a and very pleased to discover this wasn't the case. We had a long, busy and fascinating day in Halong with Bich. She was excellent.

I spent several weeks studying of the numerous travel companies offering tours in Halong Bay and eventually decided on Bai Tu Long Tours due to the positive reviews and especially the patience of Mr Pham in reply to our questions.
We took the 5 days 4 nights cruise to Bai Tu Long and Halong Bay with 1 night on Catba island, we stayed on a chartered cruise with four rooms, the trip was the best part of our tour in Vietnam. The cabins have large windows and toilets inside, the food on board was just fabulous, crew and captain were very friendly and attentive, we went kayaking into one of the caves and through the tunnel, took a rowing boat to a floating fishing village, sunbath on the deck, biking on the island... the whole thing was a pleasure. The tour guide "Lemonade" was very good and made the trip really enjoyable, his English was spoken fluently and slowly and tried to be clear with us. We were absolutely happy with Bai Tu Long Tours and would use them for other trips as well if we come back to Vietnam! Highly recommended - Alesandra Rossini (Bologna, Italy)

To be honest, we did not have much expectation after some troubles in Hue and Sai Gon, but our trip in Halong bay was just wonderful! We wanted something different from the classic group tours with hundreds of boats jostling on the sea and local vendors trying to sell you souvenirs...We ended up choosing Bai Tu Long Tours and to our surpise, it was perfect choice. We had a private trip to Bai Tu Long bay and Quan lan island for 4 days, we travelled to places that were empty of other tourists, navigated through wonderful sceneries. Staff on board was very nice and attentive, captain Tang were always ready to help.
The cruise Anh Duong was very clean beautiful although a bit old, we had 4 cabins for only 5 people. We had covered chairs on top floor and we relaxed easily, enjoying the air and the sun most of the time.
The food was tasty thanks to the great cook, we even had barbecue on the beach which was fantastic, we enjoyed visiting a floating village and met the friendly host Tam with her children who made her living by fishing. We were very very happy with our trip, strongly recommend Bai Tu Long Tours for people wanting to visit Halong bay!!! - Nicole Peeters (Arnhem, Holland)

I and my partner was in Vietnam last month on business and we had only 1 day left in Hanoi, we decided to book a day tour to Halong bay with Bai Tu Long Tours and were very happy with the trip. The cruise was fantastic and we thorougly enjoyed ourselves. I was pleasantly surprised by the beautiful boat we were cruising as I didn’t expect it to be so nice and big, The captain did not cruise the touristy areas and took us to Bai Tu Long bay which was less travelled, I want to thank the captain to slow it down when we wanted. It was great to have him with us, and we specifically loved the seafood lunch on boat with Nem cuon. The beauty of Halong is undeniable, waters were so clear and I treasured being able to discover the caves on kayak. Our guide Toan spoke excellent English to help us understand and that was the real plus. The only thing that let us down a bit was the road from Hanoi were bad and 4 hour drive were too long and boring. We did a 3 day tour with Bai Tu Long Tours on the White Dolphin cruise in early July 2013. We booked online with the company which was handled quickly. The cruise was wonderful & we enjoyed ourselves enormously. We did not not cruise with all the other companies as we traveled further out to Bai Tu Long bay which avoids any possible crowding with other boats.
Halong Bay is spectacular & it is very relaxing just sitting on the sundeck while crusing & enjoying the sceneries.
Staff on boat were very pleasant & helpful & nothing was a problem. The guide Lemonade spoke excellent English & arranged our kayaking activities very well. We went swimming, BBQ on beach, a visit to the floating fishing village & a cave. The food was plentiful with alot of variety with a focus on seafood & we enjoyed very much. The only minus was the bus trip which were too long and is rather dull however in general it was a very good trip. I would highly recommend - Yoon Pai Toh (Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia).
